Finding myself this site a bit unwieldy, I grant permission that the inductive proof of Chebyshev's inequality be posted on this site as an 'entry'. I'd add to my post that the proof by induction is not only 'cleaner', but also the proper one for this and any statement claimed to be valid for all natural numbers.
