Absolutely... in fact, this was always my working assumption. Myself and the other founding influences of PlanetMath knew that if we could harness little bits of everyone's time, without putting a huge demand on each person, then successfully combine the resulting efforts, we could maybe actually produce a decent artifact.
Hopefully also the server speedups will contribute to even higher levels of contribution, improvement, and end-use.

Thanks! I've already made a couple improvements... now some version histories that aren't too broken will display, though missing snapshots will show as "missing". I've also made a cleaner history mining script and ran it last night, and I will copy the output to PM today. It should be much less buggy.
