| Times have significantly changed. I do not know of a mathematics program in North America that does not encourage the use of calculators even in elementary school. Whether this is a wise choice, is another matter for discussion.
I do not claim that such numerical tables have no value, only that their value has been superceded by other resources.
Part of my original point still needs to be addressed. There should be a reference to where these numbers were obtained and at least a short explanation of what garantees their accuracy. Hmm... perhaps I should file a correction. |
