This is just a comment. It seems odd i guess to file a correction or even a comment on language that i had originally suggested: A field is a commutative division ring.
At the time I was focused on the word "equivalent" and the link. so the new language took care of that. Now i wondering about the sentence itself. Certainly it is true, as any Abstract algebra student has learned. So no problem there. I am now thinking though that perhaps one needs to put a little bit more with it. Perhaps a label: Theorem (well, yes, but pretty trivial to be a theorem) or Remark. Or maybe just, "For example, a field is a commutative division ring." I guess you did not intend to restate the definition of a field here, since it is not in the defines list. I leave it for you to decide. | Comment from object owner djao:
