[parent] Viewing Correction to 'Borel space'
Doubts by ptr

Correction id: 14528
Filed on: 2009-01-22 16:38:34
Status: Accepted on 2009-01-24 00:56:30
Type: Erratum

Correction text:
According to the article, a Borel space is a topological space together with a \sigma-algebra of subspaces.

But then the topological structure on X wouldn't intervene !

In fact it should read: a [minimal ?] \sigma-algebra containing all open (or all closed) sets; according to Wikipedia alternatively all compact sets.

The latter I never encountered, iirc; but I'm no expert.

Comment from object owner bci1:
Accepted only in part; clarification:
"defined as a set $X$" replaces defined as a topological set.
