Hi,

Please generalize further the definition.. it could be nice to add the following:

Let $S$ be a partially ordered set (a poset) with partial order $<$. Then a \emph{convex subset} of $S$ is a set $C\subset S$ such that

$$a<b<c , a,c\in C \Rightarrow b\in C$$

This is the general definition of convexity of set. It usually is in comparison with a larger poset.

Later on I shall write an entry on "convex rings".
