[parent] Viewing Correction to 'natural symmetry of the Lorenz equation'
three small things by matte

Correction id: 2271
Filed on: 2003-07-27 03:01:59
Status: Accepted on 2003-07-27 14:39:10
Type: Meta/Minor

Correction text:
1) In the first equation, \to should be \mapsto.
a) \to is used as 'A \to B', when A and B are spaces.
b) \mapsto is used as 'x\mapsto y', when x, and y are elements.

2) In you entry
http://planetmath.org/encyclopedia/SymmetryOfAnOrdinaryDifferentialEquation.html
you put a period after an inline equation that end a sentence. Following
this convention (which I think is prefered), there should be a period after
'\end{bmatrix}' in the last eqnarray, and not after \end{eqnarray}. Also, then
there should be a period in Equation 1.

3) Equation 2 should be part of a sentence. One way, would be
to write
"This can be easily verified by observing that the symmetry is
associated with the matrix $R$ defined as
 R=(...)."
