My preceding comment was too terse.
My suggestion was not so much to change this entry, as
to augment it. The 1-variable chain rule is an essential
theorem, and should receive specific treatment, just like
the present entry.
The Multi-variable chain-rule involving partial derivatives
is very important also and, so I thought it would be
a natural addition to the existing write-up. |
