set $Y$. If $A$ is a subset of $X$, then the \emph{restriction} of
$f$ to $A$ is the mapping

a&\mapsto& f(a).
\end{eqnarray*}
I have \emph only "restriction" to a avoid confusing the of "f" with
the Function "f" in Yap.
