[parent] Viewing Correction to 'discrete valuation ring'
might want to define "uniformizing parameter" and/or "order" by saforres

Correction id: 479

Type: Addendum

Correction text:
Just some notation that might come in handy for people, but doesn't really add to the ideas in your definition:

A uniforming parameter for a DVR $R$ is any nonzero element $t$ contained in the maximal ideal of $R$.

A result is that every element $z \in R$ can be written as $ut^n$ for $u$ a unit and $n$ an integer. The exponent $n$ is called the order of $z$ with respect to the parameter $t$.

Comment from object owner djao:
Material has been added (with some minor details changed for correctness).
