[parent] Viewing Correction to 'fibre'
minor thing by matte

Correction id: 4911
Filed on: 2004-09-27 14:46:20
Status: Accepted on 2004-09-27 19:43:38
Type: Meta/Minor

Correction text:

 1) the term being defined should be emphasized

 2) : should be \colon

 3) 'an element' could be 'a singleton'.

 4) Consider adding an example for the projection operator on the
 tangent/cotangent bundle.

 Suppose $M$ is a manifold, and $\pi\colon TM\to M$ is the
canonical projection from the tangent bundle TM to $M$. Then
fibres of $\pi$ are the tangent spaces $T_x(M)$ for $x\in M$.

Comment from object owner mathcam:
Okay for most. I didn't see the reason to switch from "element" to "singleton." Am I missing something?
