The second sentence of Proposition 2 is false. The derived series of an infinite solvable group cannot be refined to a composition series, because an infinite solvable group does not have a composition series, because all solvable simple groups are finite.
Also, this article defines the derived series, for which the classification 20F14 could be added. |
