Your final sentence starts with an expression in math mode. In general it is a violation of standard mathematical style to follow a punctuation mark such as a period or a comma with an expression in math mode. The reason is that the punctuation mark is very hard to spot in an equation, and almost looks like part of the equation itself instead of an important separator between clauses.

I suggest making the last sentence something like:

The resulting category D is called the arrow category ...
