Hi, could you illustrate how this algorithm works by giving an actual example? For example, solve a system of linear inequalities...

Thanks,

Chi

If I correctly understand the way things work here at PlanetMath, the parent object should have a bare minimum of examples to help avoid ambiguity. Anything more extensive, like an actual example, should have its own child example object. Also, I must acknowledge that when this object was given to me, I was aware that my knowledge of simplexi is non-existent. I thought I could help, but I'm way too old to learn about this kind of highly advanced, almost non-numeric mathematics. I will give up control of this objects in the hope that someone that is versed in this subject will take it up.

Examples in Definitions by CWoo on 2006-10-13 20:51:23
I don't see why there would be ambiguity in giving examples in a definition in an entry. I do it all the time. The author should have that freedom to decide whether to put examples in a definition or not. The last time I checked, there is no hard rule against putting examples in a definition on PlanetMath.

If you do not want to add any examples or feel that you are knowledgeable enough to add examples, orphaning it is the right thing to do. But please leave the correction notice pending alone, so that whoever sees the entry can look at the notice and decide if it's worth picking it up. It makes me wonder why someone would want to pick up an orphaned entry, not making the corrections (and rejecting it), and ending up orphaning it again!
