Andrew Odlyzko is a mathematician best known for disproving the Mertens conjecture with Herman J. J. te Riele. Odlyzko co-authored ``On the Density of Odd Integers of the Form $\displaystyle \frac{(p-1)}{2k}$ and Related Questions'' in J. of Number Theory 11 (1979) with Paul Erdos, and thus has Erdos number 1. Odlyzko studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
