Heron's formula (Theorem)

The area of a triangle with side lengths $ a,b,c$ is

$\displaystyle \triangle=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}$
where $ s=\frac{a+b+c}{2}$ (the semiperimeter).
