Bio:
I received a bachelor of arts in mathematics education in 2002 and a master of arts in mathematics in 2004 from Eastern Illinois University. In order to receive my master's, I completed a thesis, titled Cyclic Rings. In fact, the reason that I first became involved in PlanetMath was that I stumbled upon it while doing research for my thesis and became interested. The very first entry that I contributed to PlanetMath was cyclic ring. An interesting tidbit of information is that, despite the fact that I added this entry on March 10th, 2003, a Google search on "cyclic ring" math still returns my entry as the first hit, at least for the time being.
My thesis advisor was Dr. Leo Comerford. I was in a doctorate program in mathematics at the University of Illinois, but I chose not to continue after four years in the program. I am currently teaching at University Laboratory High School, which is affectionately known as Uni High.
As for my user name, Wkbj is my initials, and 79 is for the year I was born: 1979.
The user sjm1979 also attends the University of Illinois. I was the one who introduced him to PlanetMath.
I used PSTricks in many of my entries that deal with geometry. I would like to thank Chi (user name CWoo) for introducing me to PSTricks. He did so in response to one of my posts, which in turn was a response to one of his posts in which he gives his comments on my entry titled area.
