There are two important theorems having this name.

\textbf{Theorem.} Every non-constant analytic function on a domain is an open mapping.
$\centerdot$ In the context of functional analysis:
\textbf{Theorem.} Every surjective linear mapping between two banach spaces is an open mapping.
