Borel -algebra
For any topological space , the Borel sigma algebra of is the –algebra generated by the open sets of . In other words, the Borel sigma algebra is equal to the intersection of all sigma algebras of having the property that every open set of is an element of .
An element of is called a Borel subset of , or a Borel set.
