flat resolution

Let $M$ be a module. A flat resolution of $M$ is an exact sequence of the form

$$\mathrm{\cdots }\to F_n\to F_{n-1}\to \mathrm{\cdots }\to F_1\to F_0\to M\to 0$$

where each $F_n$ is a flat module.
