# table of critical values of chi-squared distributions

Below is a table of the critical values $c$ of the chi-squared distribution (http://planetmath.org/ChiSquaredRandomVariable) corresponding to various degrees $d$ of freedom (first column) and p-values $p$ (first row in red).

These values can be related by the equation:

 $p=P(X\geq c)\qquad\mbox{where }X\sim\chi^{2}_{(d)}.$

Graphically, this looks like

where the curve is the probability density function of the chi-squared distribution and $p$ is the darkened area.
