Edouard Zeckendorf (Definition)

Born May 2, 1901, died May 16, 1983. Belgian Army doctor, mathematician. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Liège. During World War II he was a prisoner of war. In mathematics, he studied the Fibonacci numbers extensively and formulated Zeckendorf's theorem, about the representation of integers as sums of Fibonacci numbers.
