Grigori Perelman (Biography)

Grigori Yakovlevich Perelman (born 1966) Russian mathematician currently best known for turning down the Fields medal. He was selected for the award because of his work on Poincaré's conjecture. Also, it is believed he may have proven Thurston's geometrization conjecture.
