To the best of my knowledge, the PlanetMath search engine has not been working since January. It would be much easier for me to browse the content if the search engine were working properly. Is there any way that this can be fixed?

Also, \not\subset and \not\in seem to be rendered into their opposites by jsMath, at least with Google Chrome! This can obviously lead to some major confusion.

Example: http://planetmath.org/encyclopedia/AVectorVSpaceOverAnInfiniteFieldFCann...

Another problem seen on this page is that equation wrapping doesn't seem to work right, although that's not as serious.

yes

Dear Warren,
In my opinion, a much worse problem in PM is now (and has lasted already quite long), that the default view style for persons having no account is "jsMath" which is very slow. Why the administration [if there exists still such one] cannot put "page images" to default view style for all?

I have actually developed a mysql-based version of the search engine module, which was done for Springer and their instance of Noosphere (see statprob.com)

I was hoping to integrate this into PlanetMath in the big "1.5" rollover (which integrates all the Springer changes and a variety of other updates, including a new look and feel -- running in "beta" on planet.math.uwaterloo.ca). However if there is enough demand now, I can install just the search engine portion now.
