Adding my research into the encyclopedia?

I've already asked this question but it was not answered.

I've introduced some new notation in my research articles (most yet unpublished but some published).

Can I add these my definitions and theorems to PlanetMath encyclopedia section?

Am I allowed to put onto PlanetMath encyclopedia only these notions which are officially published in a peer reviewed journal?

What are the exact criteria which materials are allowed for PM encyclopedia?

What is your policy on original research? (Note that Wikipedia does not allow to put there original research. Is PM's policy different?)

I attempted to change NS:Section:Reference -> NS:Section:Research for http://planetmath.org/encyclopedia/Filtrator.html and your server says You cannot change tag NS:Section:Reference.

I wonder whether we can be able to change it back: NS:Section:Research -> NS:Section:Reference when the time will come (that is when my research become widely known).

Hi Victor:

I was able to change the tag (I'm an admin -- however if it requires admin privileges, that's a bug -- we'll look into it!).

Yes, our thought is that you can change the tags whenever you like. Eventually we will have more of an "editorial" workflow in place, but that's just as a check, the basic rules remain the same.

Thanks!
Joe

You have only added the NS:Section:Research tag not removed NS:Section:Reference. As my experience shows we cannot remove NS:Section:Reference.

Should the research (not yet widely known) have both NS:Section:Research and NS:Section:Reference or only NS:Section:Research (without NS:Section:Reference)?

You should write rules to make it clear.

One can still link now the new PM NS v.1.5 Menu Items to the old NS 1.0 PM Menu Items from the PlanetMath.org Books in the old style NS 1.0 pages at: http://wiki.planetphysics.info/index.php/PlanetMath_NS1.0_Books_Page_1

Hi Victor:

As I understand it, there are two options available:

(1) Click on Create Article and supply the NS:Section:Reference tag (this is the default). You will then be creating an encyclopedia article. The terms should be "Encyclopedia worthy", which means that it is a term in common use.

(2) Click on Create Article and change NS:Section:Research to NS:Section:Research. You can then post any math topic you are doing research on.

I would suggest that option (2) is more suitable in the cases you've described.
