# At the first glance of the statement of the theorem

Since it is a little ambiguous as to what an ideal of an ideal may be, it might be worth to restate the theorem as: Let $a$ be an ideal of a von Neumann regular ring $R$. Then $a$ is itself a von Neumann regular ring and that any ideal $b$ of $a$ is likewise an ideal of $R$.
