Assuming ”most economical” means minimum material used, that a pint is the UK pint, so the volume is 568.26125ml.

Since the most efficient shape is spherical, a spherical shell (with a small hole in it to drink from) of radius 5.138304189cm would be ”ideal” (derived from the formula $V=\frac{4}{3}\pi{r}^{3}$).

However, since it must be cylindrical, it’s more complicated… A cylinder with two ends would have height = diameter.

I hadn’t ever considered drinking from a spherical pint glass before. Of course, if you like a cube of ice in your drink – well, scratch
