Bio:
Joe Corneli had a one week reign as top user on PlanetMath in October of 2003 under the handle apmxi. This was a first-rate disaster. Since then he has helped produce the PlanetMath print compilation "The Free Encyclopedia of Mathematics" (currently stalled, though we did manage to produce a big book) as well as the first wiki used by PlanetMath, "AsteroidMeta" (now rather abandoned it seems). These not-unambiguously-successful ventures are nevertheless great examples of learning from experience! Starting in Summer of 2010, Joe has been contributing to the Planetary project, a new effort of the KWARC research group at Jacobs University, Bremen, DE, to create a new software backend suitable for hosting PlanetMath. He has enjoyed a stint as "the new unlord" as he mucks about in Drupal. Joe's current academic "home" is the Knowledge Media Institute at The Open University, UK, where he is working on a Ph. D. project that is closely related to PlanetMath.
