# fundamental theorem of transcendence

The tongue-in-cheek given to the fact that if $n$ is a nonzero integer, then $|n|\ge 1$. This trick is used in many transcendental number^{} theory proofs. In fact, the hardest step of many problems is showing that a particular integer is not zero.
