If $g$ is a thrice differentiable function, the Schwarzian derivative is defined by

$$S(g)=\frac{2g^{\prime }{g}^{\prime \prime \prime }-3{(g^{\prime \prime })}^2}{2{(g^{\prime })}^2}.$$
