injective resolution

Let $M$ be a module. An injective resolution of $M$ is an exact sequence of the form

$$0\to M\to Q_0\to Q_1\to \mathrm{\cdots }\to Q_{n-1}\to Q_n\to \mathrm{\cdots }$$

where each $Q_n$ is an injective module.
