supplementary chords
Two chords of ellipse, connecting a point of the perimetre to the end-points of a diameter
(http://planetmath.org/ConjugateDiametersOfEllipse), are called supplementary chords of each other.
A pair of supplementary chords are parallel to a pair of conjugate diameters.
