# circumscribe

To *circumscribe* a regular polygon^{} (such as a triangle, square, pentagon^{}, etc.) or a cyclic quadrilateral^{}, is to enclose it in a circle so that the vertices of the polygon^{} are on the circumference^{} of the circle.
